PCBC 2014 kicks off one week from today, and there is plenty to be excited about. Education sessions, networking events, and curated exhibits will ensure that your visit to San Francisco is worth the investment. Here are our Top 5 Things to do at PCBC 2014:

1. The City.

Evolved from PCBC 2013′s The Village, The City is about enhancing your show experience. The show is rich in products and solutions, but also hopes to be more than just rows and aisles. Inside The City, you’ll find a mini-park, 11 storefront exhibitors, a recharging station for your devices, places to sit, trees, a deck, music, and a bar serving coffee in the morning and beer and wine in the afternoon.

2. The City.

San Francisco is alive. And like any living thing, it’s always evolving. The San Francisco of yesterday is gone by the time the morning fog rolls over—replaced by new and exciting possibilities.

3. Sheryl Connelly.

As the in-house futurist for Ford Motor Company, Sheryl Connelly has allowed Ford to stay way ahead of the curve and helped drive them straight into success. Connelly immerses herself in the ever-changing cultural ideas to determine what consumers might want to buy in the future. She dives into trends and brings incredible insight when she comes up for air.

4. SPARKS.

The SPARKS Conference at PCBC 2014 is a two-day cross-disciplinary program full of ideas and people who will spark your creativity, innovation, and ingenuity. With over two-dozen sessions and access to 65 thought-leaders, SPARKS offers a blend of topics – not just homebuilding experts and best practices, but also new, unexpected, out-of-industry perspectives. Consumers want a fresh way of engaging with the marketplace. Performance-driven design and is literally reshaping our physical world. Urban gardening is turning unused community space into fruitful endeavours. Challenge yourself with SPARKS.

5. The Food.

San Francisco remains one of the top food destinations in the world. Forego the hotel restaurant and explore the city that I call home and all the fantastic food it has to offer. Our favourite is Scoma’s to watch the seals at Fisherman’s Wharf.
