OnLocation-Warranty is the newest mobile device solution in the award-winning suite of OnLocation software applications for home builders. The Constructech Top Products award for enhanced products is the third award for Constellation’s OnLocation suite of mobile device software solutions.

Home builders who use OnLocation-Warranty are able to eliminate the double entry of data normally associated with pre-delivery inspections and customer service walkthroughs. Work Orders are automatically created as well.

There are no delays capturing signatures on paper, or waiting for forms to print at the office or trailer. For example, as you walk through a new home with the home buyer, detailing any deficiencies, the owner(s) or owner’s representative and the builder representative can instantly sign the form, and then print a copy for the owner on-the-spot.

With integration to NEWSTAR Enterprise, these forms are sent to NEWSTAR for archiving and the Work Order is created immediately. A copy of the signed form is available for viewing in NEWSTAR for long-term archiving. Forms never get lost; paper storage and record archiving expense is significantly reduced. You save time and money with assessments being completed sooner, and trades are instantly notified to address issues, which eliminates unnecessary delays.

Work Orders can be managed in OnLocation-Warranty and work order status is easily maintained. Assessment and inspection notes can be added as they occur. For example, when work order items are fulfilled, the owner can initial their approval for the work. Since everything is electronic and stored in one system, it’s accessible to all necessary builder staff offering them consistent, instant access to home and home owner warranty information.

Your Warranty Coordinator can quickly view the Pre-delivery Inspections (PDIs) that are expected over a given period (i.e. 30 day, One Year, etc.), and it allows managers to plan a walk through as well as staffing needs. Management reports let you see the Work Orders and PDIs as well as ensure all Warranty Coordinators are using the same process to complete the walk through. By standardizing walk throughs, home owners receive the same experience and level of service, and warranty costs are properly managed and controlled.
